Directions to Our Office

The Schuylkill County Agricultural Center: Located on Route 901 (Gordon Nagle Trail), Pottsville. A large two-story building with white siding, green shutters, and green roof, it is set back approx. 1/4 mile from Route 901. To reach the Ag Center from Route 901, turn onto Red Horse Rd. (goes slightly uphill); then take the first right into the Ag Center. The Center sits across the road from soccer fields and is adjacent to SIBT and Luther Ridge. The Extension office is on the second floor, with access from the driveway at the rear of the building. The Conference Center is located on the first floor and can be entered through the first set of doors.

From the South: From Route I - 78, take Exit 19 (Strausstown) to Route 183 North. Follow Route 183 into Cressona. At traffic light, continue straight (road becomes Route 901 West). Go approx. 3 miles; Ag Center will be on right.

From the East: Take Route 443 West to Route 61 North. At Cressona, take the jughandle to Route183 South. Follow Route 183 to the traffic light. Turn right onto Route 901 West. Go approx. 3 miles; Ag Center will be on the right.

From the West: Take Route 209 South into Pottsville. Once you reach Pottsville, follow Route 209 South approx. 2 miles (passing through 4 traffic lights). At the 5th traffic light (Sheetz on left, Hess on right), turn left onto Route 901 East. Go approx. 1 mile; the Ag Center will be on left just as you drive out of a wooded area and begin to go down the hill.

From the North: From Route I-81, take Exit 116 (Minersville) to Route 901 East. Follow Route 901 through the Borough of Minersville to the end of town. Follow Route 901 East as it turns right. Travel approx. 2 miles to the second traffic light (Sheetz ahead on right; Pizza Hut on left). Turn right to continue on Route 901 East. Go approx. 1 mile; Ag Center will be on left just as you drive out of a wooded area and begin to go down the hill.

From the North (alternate): From Route I-81, take Exit 124A (St. Clair) to Route 61 South. Follow Route 61 to Pottsville (passing through 5 traffic lights). At the sixth light (Norwegian St. light), turn right. Go to the next light; turn right onto Centre St. (Route 209 South). Follow Route 209 South approx. 2 miles (through 4 traffic lights). At 5th light (Sheetz on left, Hess on right), turn left onto Route 901 East. Go approx. 1 mile; Ag Center will be on left as you drive out of a wooded area and begin to go down the hill.
