4-H & Youth Development

4-H is the largest provider of youth education outside of public schools in the United States. Youths learn practical skills and knowledge through hands-on experiences. They choose to complete projects from nearly a dozen subject areas. Through 4-H, youths develop many life skills.

Who can belong to 4-H?
Any boy or girl, age 8 - 19 as of January 1 of the current year, living anywhere in the county may join.

How can youths get involved in 4-H?

  • You can belong to special interest or community 4-H clubs.
  • You can take 4-H projects through school enrichment.
  • You can take 4-H projects in summer programs. Summer programs run by various agencies can use 4-H projects as part of their program if their staff has been trained by this office.
There are other ways to get involved too. Just contact us and ask!  Our phone number is 570-622-4225.
